WHAT WE DO:
Bellingham Angels provide a forum for investors to see very early stage investment opportunities. Entrepreneurs submit detailed information for evaluation, and after screening, a select group of companies are invited to present at our bi-monthly meetings. Bellingham Angels' resources provide investors many benefits, including help to identify high potential companies and technologies based on criteria established by the Screening Committee.
The Bellingham Angel Group holds these bi-monthly meetings at regularly scheduled times and locations. The meetings are for members and sponsors only or by special invitation. Meetings typically run for an hour and a half, including company presentations, an education program, a meal, and time for networking and establishing common investment interests. Details of individual members are not divulged publicly.
HOW WE DO IT:
Bellingham Angels collaborates with its' members, local business leaders, government agencies, academia and sometimes co-invests with other angel networks in Washington State and British Columbia to optimize the widest range of high potential opportunities. We select companies based on depth of the management team, strength of technology or service offering, and potential for high returns.

WHY WE DO IT:
Some entrepreneurs who are seeking funding don't know how to connect with the 'seed money' in this area. Whatcom County and the surrounding area have a number of high net-worth individuals with vast business experience who potentially may make investments in these companies but would prefer to do so within an established group of like minded investors. Bellingham Angels is therefore the forum for investors to network, benefit from educational seminars and otherwise maintain a healthy preparedness to support these entrepreneurs.
HOW TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP:
Participation in Bellingham Angels is restricted to accredited investors*. Investors should expect to invest a minimum of $25,000 in these early stage, high-risk opportunities.
