For Companies
WHAT IS AN "ANGEL" INVESTOR?
"Angels" is a term used for wealthy individuals who provide financial backing for very early-stage companies or business ideas. Angels make direct, personal investments in start-up companies usually for an equity position in the company. Angels come from many backgrounds, but most often they are corporate executives, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists or have family wealth. Angels often bring more than just money to an investment deal. Often they have industry or business experience and can provide added value to the company through this experience.
Typically, the Bellingham Angels will invest between $25,000 and $250,000 to help companies grow to the next stage. To help ensure the success of our investments - and support the local entrepreneurial environment - we actively work with the entrepreneurs in whom we invest.
