Becoming an Angel
Angel investors are individuals who invest in private companies and who have a net worth of at least $1 million or an annual net income of $200,000 for the past three years. Angels often provide mentoring and advice as well as capital. Angel groups and funds and angel investors typically learn about and discuss investment opportunities with other investors they know. Angel organizations allow angel investors to get together on a regular basis to review deals that have been screened through a formal review process. In angel "groups," investments are made by one or more individuals at their own discretion, acting alone or in syndicate. Angel "funds" make investments on behalf of shareholders.
