Bellingham Angels and Angel Forum Announce December 4 Advanced Workshop: “Valuation & Portfolio Strategies and the Post-Investment Relationship: Entrepreneurs and Angels”

Bellingham, WA, September 25, 2007 – On December 4, the Bellingham Angel Group and the Angel Forum of Vancouver will host an all-day advanced workshop for angel investors and entrepreneurs. The workshop: “The Power of Angel Investing – Valuation & Portfolio Strategies and the Post-Investment Relationship: Entrepreneurs and Angels”, will be held at Fox Hall at the Hampton Airport Inn in Bellingham, WA, from 7:30am to 5pm, followed by a networking reception.

Who Should Attend?

• Members of Angel Groups or Investors who have completed the Angel Investing Overview seminar or have made three to five angel investments..
  

• Experienced Company CEO / CFOs, Entrepreneurs or Service Providers with prior experience in private equity.

Please note that all investors are aware that this workshop is offered in a "protected environment", without solicitations of any type from service providers and entrepreneurs.

The workshop features local experts in high growth ventures and early stage investing opportunities, including senior members of the Bellingham Angel Group and the Angel Forum of Vancouver, and local legal and venture experts. They will be led by William H Payne, Entrepreneur in Residence at the Kauffman Foundation. Payne is an involved member of San Diego’s Tech Coast Angels, Vegas Valley Angels, and Aztec Venture Network. Over three decades, he has successfully founded or invested in 31 start-up companies.

The day will be divided into two sessions: one will cover valuation and portfolio strategy, and the second session will address the post-investment relationship between entrepreneurs and angel investors. Both sessions will be highly interactive and will include PowerPoint presentations delivered by experienced local angels, extensive video segments presented by two experienced angel investors (Bill Payne of Vegas Valley Angels and Luis Villalobos of Tech Coast Angels), hands-on exercises, a video panel discussion, and local group discussion.
